Eh! It coulda been worse :/

So I went to weigh in on Monday ... not my normal day since I normally go on Tuesday's and it was NOT so great. A rid nonetheless but not as great as it should have been (2 a week is what i am aiming for) and the scale said i was thinner by .08 pounds lol. That had me going from 230.08 to 230.00 ... i am about 5 pounds from my 5% (12 pounds) so i cant wait to reach that!! I just want to slowly rid it but rid it quickly lol. Patience is definitely NOT a virtue of mine lol.

Last weekend was a tough one for me. I was tested (and failed twice) and i gave into temptation :( ... I had a great time at Aquatica but I would have had a better time had I stayed AWAY from the fried chicken tenders and fries!!! GASP! The points are probably around 100000000 for that lol (yes, i am exaggerating :)
Saturday was better. watched what i ate for the most part didnt do too bad but Sunday early morning went to McDonalds with my little brother after a fun night out and had a egg and cheese mcmuffin from McD's .... BAD!! I havent been to MCDs in a LONG time and the time that I do go i get not so great stuff. its probably not a zillion points but I where else could i go that was quick at 4am that would feed me. BUDGET played into it as well. LOL. Enough excuses I know .. just no more for me of that crap. My body has been so good in not craving much unless I am dying of starvation. And i feel better today then i did when i was 20!!!

Ok its time for bed. until tuesday and weigh day ... have a great Thursday!!

SUCCESS!!!

So today was weigh day .... I did great :) riddance of 2.2 pounds today which has me at a total riddance of (drum roll, drum roll) 6.6 pounds!!!

So there it is I am now at 230.4 ....
I told a friend I lost a new born today and I was never pregnant or a mother :) 6 pounds 6 ounces!

I thought I didnt do so good this week but I apparently did.

One tip .... KEEP YOUR SERVINGS FOR ONE. Its ok to indulge just do NOT do it daily.
I allowed myself healthier foods without really counting the points for it since they are good for you ... aka salad and fruits. No one ever gained weight eating those alone. At least I dont think :) and I am getting healthy eating them ... so be it!

Another reason to celebrate: Its been almost a month and I have been regular soda free! I dont miss it in the least bit! Discovered coke zero the other day and I must say...I LOVE IT. Although its high in sodium so I wont be consuming more then one a day. That and the artificial sweetener is not good for you either.

WEIGH DAY ... WEIGH DAY ... TOMORROW !!

Tomorrow is weigh in day ... yes! I am nervous ... looked back in my food journal and there are somethings I should have put aside for next year lol. 1 is the regular serving of ranch dressing ... but i mean come on! Who the hell wants to eat salad with flavored water as dressing lol.

Lets just hope I can make my 2 pounds a week in riddance goal. If not, its major crunch time next beginning Wednesday.

I should have taken my own measurements also :( regretting that i didnt but I guess its not too late.
Tried doing a picture a day and at the end making a slide show of all the weight shed but ya .. getting lazy lol.
Will see :)

Thank you!

Ladies ... thank you for following the blog :) i have people who are interested but i dont think they are aware to follow ...i will follow up next week. Anyways, I wanted to let you know that i will post pictures of the progress but dont feel too comfortable posting now. When i reach my goal for sure but its too soon now :)

Welcome Friends!

I have created this blog in the hopes of staying motivated to achieve my weight riddance goal and to hopefully motivate someone else into joining me and ridding themselves of the weight as well :0) Feel free to comment and post successes as well as setbacks. We learn from both! Good luck to all of you!

I decided to join weight watchers on the recommendation of a friend who joined a week before me. I joined on April 13, 2010 and I feel it has been the best decision I have made to help myself to date!
I am 3 weeks in to the lifestyle change so far and I am very satisfied with the results thus far! I have gotten rid of 4.4 pounds in 2 weeks and I feel so much better!
After lunch, I am no longer lethargic and yearning to take a nap. I am no longer bloated and feeling disgusted and guilty with my choice of food! I am actually full and satisfied immediately after lunch and this is different and welcome :)
I have to learn to better choose my meals and ration my points so that I am snacking on filling foods that are nutritious (broccoli, carrots, fruits) so that I am not hungry in between the main meals. I am learning this daily and I think one way of doing this is to choose filling dishes such as proteins and high fiber meals. Soups (although high in sodium unless you choose the low sodium ones or make your own) are filling foods and can even be eaten as a snack (single servings) to hold you between lunch and dinner.
This journey has cost me about $100-$120 a week in grocery's but so far its worth it since i feel great and i am losing weight! Its cheaper to go for the junk food that is packaged in bulk but isn't this what got us fat to begin with?!
Making the right choice is not always easy or wallet friendly but the feeling and results of the right choices make them a better investment in the long run!

Dont ever say "I LOST WEIGHT" try and refer to it as "GETTING RID OF"
When we lose something ... we usually hope to find it again and we even look for it. When we get rid of something it is done by CHOICE and we do not go back to look for it. We got rid of it!
Losing weight should be looked on as getting rid of weight since we dont want to gain it back! We want to keep it off and maintain the healthy ways we are used to!
I may not be able to update this daily but I will try until I reach my 50/100 pound goals to hopefully motivate you as well so you too can keep motivating me!
